In 2008, Cargo joined the ranks of a dozen creative agencies to help start a ripple in three South Carolina cities as the Tap Project initiative went nationwide. By combining social media efforts, traditional advertising, ambient advertising, and collaborating with Google on a special project, Cargo was able to make a splash of awareness for the cause. During World Water Week, Cargo's Google Maps collaboration reached 70 million unique users each day. More importantly, Cargo's markets provided nearly 10,000 children access to clean water for 40 days.
